Greg Waller joined Transact Capital in 2024 as a Managing Director. Greg has over 25 years of experience in business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. He leads the Company’s valuation practice. He has owned, managed, and transitioned companies that specialized in contracting & construction, industrial sales & services, and real estate.
In addition to his work with Transact, Dr. Waller is an Associate Professor of Finance at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He teaches courses and researches a variety of fields including advanced valuation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate risk management, and investment policy.
Dr. Waller earned his BA and MBA from Ohio University and his Ph.D. in finance, with minors in economics and strategic management, from Purdue University. He holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and has been qualified as an expert witness in both federal and state courts.
