Dan Neuwirth leads Realize Health, a company that provides advisory services to early stage, innovative healthcare companies and healthcare provider organizations. Dan is recognized for starting and leading healthcare technology and services companies that make a difference in peoples’ lives. He is the Founder of Envera Health, a leader in patient engagement services focused on improving the experience of healthcare. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Envera since inception and is now a company advisor. Dan also serves as Board Director for Clareto, a data company he founded as a spin-off of Envera that connects life insurers with healthcare data.
Prior to founding Envera, he helped launch and grow medCPU, a clinical decision support company, now owned by Merck and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He co-founded and led Agility Healthcare Solutions, a pioneer in process improvement and real-time location technology for hospitals, which was acquired by GE Healthcare.
Dan has a passion for building companies and driving innovation, leveraging his varied startup and Fortune 50 senior executive experience, including GE, McKesson, and PepsiCo. At GE Healthcare, he was a General Manager focused on partnerships and acquisitions, At McKesson, he led all operations and a 2,600-person organization for its $3B medical-surgical business. At PepsiCo, he led supply chain operations and founded a stand-alone company that is currently owned by Berkshire Hathaway. He lives in Richmond, Virginia where he is active in fostering the startup community.
He currently serves on the boards of Impact Makers, a management consulting firm that donates 100% of net profits to community organizations and the VCU College of Engineering Foundation.
Dan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Business and Economics and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with an MBA.
