Dan Neuwirth is a Managing Director for Transact Capital. Dan has extensive entrepreneurial, executive, and M&A experience in the healthcare industry most recently providing strategic and financial advisory services to healthcare technology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies as the founder and managing partner of Realize Health Ventures.
Dan brings a unique combination of experiences in M&A having navigated multiple successful exits as an entrepreneur, board member, advisor, and corporate executive.
Prior to leading Realize Health, Dan founded multiple healthcare businesses gaining deep experience in raising capital and M&A transactions. He is the Founder of Envera Health, a leader in patient engagement services focused on improving the experience of healthcare. Dan also founded Clareto, a spin-off company from Envera that connects life insurers with healthcare data, which was acquired by MunichRe, the largest global reinsurance company.
Prior to founding Envera, he helped launch and grow medCPU, a clinical decision support company, acquired by Merck and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He co-founded and led Agility Healthcare Solutions, a pioneer in process improvement and real-time location technology for hospitals, which was acquired by GE Healthcare. He joined GE Healthcare as a business development executive focused on partnerships and acquisitions. Dan’s executive experience includes leading a 2,600-person operations organization for McKesson’s $3B medical-surgical business.
Dan serves on the board of the VCU College of Engineering Foundation. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Business and Economics and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with an MBA.
