Richmond, VA –Transact Capital Partners is pleased to announce that Welcome Homecare, Inc., a Richmond-based home healthcare service provider, was acquired by Avery Partners. Transact Capital Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to Welcome Homecare in the transaction.
Welcome Homecare was established in 1992 to provide nursing, staffing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social services under the VA Technical Waiver Program. Avery Partners, headquartered in Roswell, Georgia, was founded in 2004 by industry veterans. The company owns and operates healthcare services companies in seventeen states. Avery’s goal is “to exceed expectations, improve quality of care and help our clients control cost and increase revenues.” With the leadership and backing of Avery, Welcome Homecare expects to continue their tradition of offering quality service to the Richmond market and surrounding communities.
Barry Krauss, Senior Vice President at Transact Capital Partners, helped facilitate the sale and assisted the owner in finding a strategic purchaser who could continue to grow his organization while retaining the company’s employees. Bill Snodgrass, owner of Welcome Homecare, stated: “Barry relentlessly pursued a buyer for my business who could meet my asking price and at the same time had an excellent reputation of operating healthcare firms throughout the southeastern U.S. It was Barry’s handholding and tenacity in this deal that helped get it across the goal line.”
Krauss has over three decades of hands-on experience, including business ownership, retail management, and commercial real estate sales, and thus understands the needs, challenges, and concerns of business ownership from the inside out.
