Transact Capital opens Tidewater office in Virginia
Richmond, VA – Transact Capital Partners is pleased to announce the opening of a new sales office in the Tidewater area of Virginia. The Tidewater office is managed by Michael Rhea, a Vice President at Transact. Steve Zacharias, Managing Partner of Transact, stated that “the Tidewater area is one where we have completed several transactions, and having boots on the ground there will help us gain further traction in that region. We welcome the addition of Mike Rhea to the Transact team”.
Mike has extensive experience in business and real estate brokerage, valuation, and small business lending. Mike has experience working with a wide range of industries. His background includes working with a local M&A firm in the Richmond area, as an SBA loan underwriter and originator for a nonbank preferred SBA lender, and separately as a financial analyst for a privately funded business roll up, consisting of approximately 70 manufacturing, distribution, and contracting companies earning $750 million in revenue. Mike was actively involved in the acquisition process, including valuation, due diligence, and integration.
Prior to joining Transact Capital Partners, Mike worked as a Purchasing Manager for a subsidiary of an $8 billion multinational conglomerate where, as part of the Global Supply Chain team, he managed the implementation of several company-wide working capital improvement initiatives, which resulted in significant cost reductions and increases in working capital.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College and a Master of Business Administration from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. Mike is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Virginia.
