FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Richmond, VA – (March 07, 2006) Transact Capital today announced the sale of the assets of Pantops Children’s Center, Inc. and Woodlands Day Care, Inc. both of Charlottesville, VA. Robert C. Greear, Jr., the owner and operator of multiple facilities throughout the Southeast, was the buyer.
Started in 1988 by Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Jones, the two firms operate fully licensed and accredited children’s centers. The companies employ 27 individuals and have a well-established reputation for excellence. In fact, the company centers serve as demonstration models for the International Accreditation and Certification of Childhood Educators, Programs and Trainers (IACCEPT), and as a model of the development of the accreditation credential for the National Child Care Association (NCCA).
Mrs. Jones was very pleased that Mr. Greear purchased the schools: “He clearly understands the needs of young children and impressed us with his passion for providing quality education and childcare to young and elementary age children. His experience in operating other centers and his goals for building a first class regional operation were very appealing and convinced us to sell.”
