FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Richmond, VA – (March 2, 2007) Transact Capital is pleased to announce the acquisition of Mailer’s Resource Group, Inc. by the PSI Group, Inc. of Omaha, NE, a Pitney Bowes Company. Mailer’s Resource Group, Inc. was Richmond, Virginia’s only independent/private provider of pre-sort mail services. The Company has been owned and operated by its founder, Art Leonard since inception. The Company provides its services through negotiated contracts and derives its revenues by taking advantage of the U.S. Postal Service’s work sharing discounts through presorting and automating letter mail (up to three ounces) for approximately 40 customers. The Company presorts and automates 200,000 pieces of mail daily, during two shifts. During the last three years, the Company processed an average of 50 million pieces of mail per year.
According to Art Leonard, “We are pleased to be joining the PSI Group family. Having previously worked for Pitney Bowes, I am pleased to be “going home”. PSI’s resources and expertise will enable the surviving company to expand product offerings and services to both existing and new customers in central Virginia. Transact Capital introduced us to multiple parties and the PSI Group was clearly the best in every way.”
According to Anthony Vincent, Managing Director, “Art did an excellent job of building a well run company with loyal customers and employees. By employing used equipment and by creating and maintaining excellent relationships with both his employees and the United States Postal Service, Mailer’s Resource brought quality mail presort services to the central Virginia market.” Prior to starting Mailer’s Resource, Art was a Sales Representative with Pitney Bowes responsible for large clients in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area.
