Justin Karr joined Transact Capital as a Managing Director in 2024 to establish the firm’s New York office and its Consumer & Retail practice. With over 20 years of corporate finance experience, Justin has specialized in mergers and acquisitions, debt, and equity financings. His career includes a strong track record of successful buy-side, sell-side, and financing transactions for leading global consumer and retail brands, as well as founder- and sponsor-backed businesses. In addition to his transaction experience, he has served as Interim CEO of a Nasdaq-listed company and consulted for some of the most innovative consumer product companies in the industry.
Before joining Transact, Justin worked in New York City focused on the consumer and retail sectors for both boutique, and global investment banks including UBS, Ernst & Young, and J.P. Morgan Chase.
Justin earned his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business Honors Program. He resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
